Hello

I'm Jacob Sorenson, country artist and songwriter. I am grateful you stopped in to read, listen, and connect. I am a huge believer in community and that together we achieve more. Music is a community for me of storytelling and creation. Sometimes that allows me to tell your story and sometimes that allows me to tell my own. I hope you can feel uplifted from the listening.

My Story

I first began making music in elementary where I made a rap about The Home Depot. The jingle was my first true experience in songwriting. Years later as a senior in high school I took a music production class and made another parody rap song. My Wife Bethany Sorenson who is also an artist continued to inspire me and allowed me to collaborate with her in writing on a few tracks which again lit the fire and joy for music. During Covid in 2020 while dealing with some pretty severe work stress and anxieties I started making music again as a means to relieve those stresses and curb my depressions and anxieties. Along with my friends Lous, Steve Phillips, Garion Wells, and Mykyl, I began to produce write and sing on fully produced tracks. The music was lifting me up and healing me mentally and physically.

Since 2020 I have released over 20 songs under the names Jacob Sorenson and Jakersor21. I have also collaborated in writing on an additional 20+ tracks with other artists. I have also planned and coordinated large concerts and events to showcase my music, and that of my friends. Music truly is a passion of mine, and the continual crafting of songwriting has led me to pursue learning the piano and guitar. While my mind is its own genre, and I don't play one specific genre, nor do I play the instruments on my own tracks, my music is based on my experiences, those of my friends, or those of people I know.

In late 2022 I pivoted toward creating my first full-length album. Titled, "Memories", the album will be released in fall of 2024 along with numerous other solo projects.

I am grateful for your listening and support!
